Find your candidate's twitter account, and look at his or her last ten tweets. Analyze for rhetorical devices, diction, and persuasive techniques. Write a mini analysis about four of the tweets (a paragraph per tweet). Is the candidate successful in the use of rhetoric?
Go to your candidate's web site and find three positions that he or she has about pertinent campaign issues. Paraphrase these stances in three paragraphs (one for each issue). At this point do not comment about how you feel about the candidate's position, that will be addressed later; just give us the facts!
Go to CNN.com and see a list of presidential candidates: http://www.cnn.com/interactive/2015/05/politics/2016-election-candidates/. Choose one candidate and write a bio of your candidate. I encourage you to pick a person whose philosophy of government differs from yours. This aspect will be important later. . . .
Tell me about yourself. Give me a brief biography. What are your likes/dislikes? What are your goals and dreams? What is your favorite thing in the whole wide freaking world? e to edit.
